Twenty Point Programme was launched in the year 1975. This programme was revised in the year 1982 and 1986. In the year 2006 this programmme was revised again. Twenty point programme-2006 has come into effect from 1st April 2007. Main objective of this programme is to eradicate poverty and bring improvement in the life status of common man. This programme includes Garibi Hatao, Jan Shakti, Kisan Mitra, Shramik Kalyan, Khadya Surasksha, Subke Liye Aawas, Shudha Peya jal, Jan-Jan Ka Swasthya, Sabke liye Shiksha, Anusuchit Jaati, Jan Jaati, Alp-snkhysk, evam Anya Pichhra Varg Kalyan, Mahila Kalyan, Bal Kalyan, Yuva Vikas, Basti sudhar, Paryavaran Sanrakshan evam Van Vridhi, Samajik Suraksha, Grameen Sadak, Grammen Oorja, Pichhara Kshetra Vikash and e-shasan. This programme renews the commitment of government to eradicating poverty, raising productivity, reducing income in equailities and removing social and economic disparities. Twenty point programme-2006 consists of 66 monitrable items out of which 25 items are being monitored on monthly basis, which are as follows:-

1. Employment generation under the National Rural Employment Guarantee Act.
2. Swaranjayanti Gram Swarojgar Yojana/NRLM
3. Self help Groups

   (ii) To whom income generating activities providing
